Jack Rankin gives his backing to new Legoland facilities
Jack Rankin recently visited one of the constituency's largest employers Official LEGOLAND Windsor.
In 2018, Jack was one of 11 Royal Borough councillors who voted to support the Resort’s plans for a multi-million pound investment in the area – which is now coming to fruition. Next month (May), phase one of their Woodland Village – a £35 million development – opens to the public.
During a tour of the Resort with Legoland Divisional Director Helen Bull, Jack was able to see the construction works first hand, and find out how the additional visitor accommodation will allow more guests to stay overnight, giving them more opportunity to contribute to the local economy in Windsor.
Jack commented: "I understand that the Woodland Village will be 'operationally carbon neutral', and this will be boosted in due course by the establishment of a solar car port on one of the nearby car parks – made possible by the Government’s new permitted development rights.
"As a father of two young children, I’m looking forward to a family visit to the Resort – and the Woodland Village in particular. A great addition to the Royal Borough!"
