Speaking on the issue Jack Rankin said the following:
"Many of you will have read reports that Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is yet to be reimbursed for the costs of the three state visits that took place last year.
Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner @matthewbarberuk has also written to the Home Office requesting that it cover the £900,000 cost of additional police hours required during these visits.
Whilst Windsor is proud to host these events, it's clear that these costs should be covered at a national rather than local level.
I've written to the Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, asking her to swiftly address this and to reimburse the Royal Borough and Thames Valley Police in full".
