Jack shares his concerns around free speech in universities

Jack raised his concerns today regarding free speech on our university campuses.

Whether it's Zionist views, gender-critical perspectives or climate scepticism, there is a demonstrable two-tier approach to free speech playing out across our higher education institutions and it is students who are bearing the brunt of it.

The Higher Education Freedom of Speech Act was passed precisely to give students the right to bring complaints to the Office for Students.

Jack posed this to the Minister today and does not believe his response was correct. It is, after all, called the Office for Students, not the Office for Everyone on Campus Except Students.
