"I’m delighted that the Windsor & Royal Borough Museum has been awarded £65,895 from the Government’s £20 million Museum Renewal Fund, delivered by Arts Council England.
Over 1,800 of you signed my petition to save the museum last year.
This investment recognises the importance of our museum as a cornerstone of Windsor’s rich history and community life. It will help ensure that future generations can continue to explore and celebrate our local heritage right here in the heart of the town.
A huge thank you to everyone involved - from Gerald and the dedicated volunteers at the Friends of the Windsor & Royal Borough Museum, to the Royal Borough team & Cllr Jack Douglas, and Arts Council England, for their continued commitment and ongoing work.
This is another positive step forward in ensuring our museum remains fit for the future. I’ll continue working hard to champion its case and the local cultural treasures that make our community so special."
