Novello Picture House

Commenting on the news, Jack said:

"An amazing moment for Sunninghill! After months of passion, hard work, and determination locally, the Save The Novello Picture House campaign has succeeded!

Thanks to an agreement between the Sunninghill Trust and RBWM, the much-loved Novello will be back in community ownership from July this year.

The Trust will own the theatre and lease it affordably to the Cordes Hall Charity, creating one vibrant, versatile hub for film, theatre, and events — right in the heart of the village.

This victory is the result of an incredible community effort — from dedicated volunteers and generous donors to local supporters who packed out public meetings and kept the momentum going.

I know this is the result of both the hard work of a core group who got organised in an unbelievably professional manner and the wide, broad community support of the village. Everyone involved should be very proud.

There will be a celebration at the next public meeting on 11th June at 8:30pm in Cordes Hall - make sure it’s in your diaries!"
